We went to the aquarium down in Newport. I have wanted to take Violet there for awhile. She was beside herself excited. We saw sharks, rays, HUGE crabs the size of a dog, grumpy otters, an amazing octopus, lovely jelly fish and silly little sea horses. Then we climbed back into the car and drove to Eugene. There we walked around the Saturday market pretty much in awe of the hippie scene there. Did we live there? It seems so long ago now.
Today is a family stay home day. The sky is hot. Oh I stitched together my first skirt, only to find out that the size measurements on the pattern could be plus or minus 5, yes five, inches. Oh the fun and utter glorious frustration of sewing patterns. I guess its back to the fabric store for some fabric for more skirts now that I learned the gig.
I hope your summers are all going well. I feel rather buried in counseling and what not. Up for air the end of December though when I finish my degree and more on to the labor of looking for work.
